We are making a comeback in style with this semester's recruitment. Allow us to introduce ourselves, we are KISA, the KAIST International Students' Association, and we're all about making life awesome for every KAIST student, especially international students.

In KISA, we are never ever going to leave anyone behind. Our member is in one of the 5 dynamic divisions in KISA: Welfare, Events, Finance, Promotions and Public Relations (PPR), and Web. Together, we collaborated to keep the gears turning smoothly across various KISA platforms, plan engaging activities that will keep you on your toes, and tackle the challenges faced by the international community that we remember all too well.

If so, then the KISA Welfare “Language Buddy Program” is perfect for you! This program pairs you up with a buddy who not only speaks the language you’re interested in, but is also eager to learn your language.

With no set curriculum, you’re free to learn at your own pace and in your preferred style. With the help of a native speaker, you’ll be able to improve your speaking and listening skills of your desired language.

We have a maximum limit of 20 pairs of buddies, and each pair will receive either café coupons or a slight support towards purchasing learning materials.

KISA Escape Room

Have you ever tried doing an escape room in Korea? If not, or maybe if yes as well, it is the best time to experience it with us because we are going to bring the escape room to KAIST! In this escape room, teams of 5 participants will enter a room and have 60 minutes to solve all the riddles and puzzles in order to get out. You will also be discovering secrets and critical elements of the story during the game. Thus, it can also be called a combination of problem-solving competition and fun role-play. You can either register as a team or individually. If you choose individually, KISA will group you together with other teams.

Event Date: Saturday, 19th November – Sunday 20th November (Choose a 1 hour time slot)

Registration Fee: KRW 2,000/individual or KRW 10,000/team

Lost in Daejeon is KISA's annual scavenger hunt with a twist: instead of doing it around KAIST, participants will now go to various interesting places in the marvelous city of Daejeon to win the game. Join our event and win up to KRW 225,000, with more surprises awaiting you along the way!

- Date: 24th September, 2022
- Timings: 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Korean Time)
- Event Registration: 6th September, 2022 - 20th September, 2022

1. Your registration will be confirmed through email/KakaoTalk.
2. A team consists of TWO participants, not any more or less.
3. Only ONE team member needs to register through this form.
4. The prize money will be transferred to your bank account.
5. All participants will be provided with snacks and refreshments by KISA.
6. This is an OFFLINE EVENT and ONLY for KAIST STUDENTS (KOREAN & INTERNATIONAL).
7. All COVID-19 prevention procedures will be observed.

8. It is encouraged to take videos and pictures during the event for the sake of documentation.
9. It is encouraged to prepare your mode of transportation in advance. You can use bicycle, bus, subway, taxi, etc., but you are not allowed to use personal cars as most students do not have this option. KISA will not provide any transportation nor reimbursements to participants.

But next Friday will be even better because KISA will have a fun party to relieve all of that midterm stress.

Thank God It's Friday (T.G.I.F.) is an offline party for all KAIST students to enjoy fun games, dancing, and nice music together. Meet new friends, both internationals and Koreans, network, and just relax together. Plus, the party will be held in a Halloween theme, so you are very welcome to wear an awesome costume! The best one will be getting a special prize from KISA. There will also be mini prizes for the games.
